ABOUT

Laura Anderson is a sculptor and professional woodcarver based in North-East London.

A graduate of City & Guilds of London Art School with a diploma in historic and ornamental woodcarving and gilding. Laura combines her skills in woodcarving and gilding with a background and degree in fine art sculpture (having also graduated with a degree from the National Art School in Sydney, Australia).

Laura has completed a number of woodworking, sculpture commissions and projects for clients including The Fishmongers' Company in London, RHS Wisley (involving the Duchess of Cambridge and the Blue Peter children's television programme), the National Trust, artist Yinka Shonibare CBE, Shonibare Studio, the William Morris Gallery in Walthamstow. In addition, Laura continues to develop her professional practice through teaching and tutoring, including running woodcarving courses at Blackhorse Workshop in Walthamstow.
